25.2 Lisa’s birthday

It was a really windy and rainy night but even with the wind we stayed dry in our tent.

After having the last porridge we were carrying for almost a week. We got a hitch to Queenstown.

It wasn’t even midday so we were not allowed to pitch up the tent at the holiday park in Queenstown where we booked an unpowered campsite.

But we could left our bags there so it was much easier to discover the city.

We have been to several outdoor shops. In one we have met Michael another TA Nobo we have met earlier in the Greenstone hut.

In another shop they sold great used Backcountry ski bundles for a good price. But there is still some time for the winter to come…

For dinner we had one of the famous Fergburgers. It was good burger for a valuable price but we have no clue why it is that famous.

Since we are in New Zealand, we are using an outdoor soap. It’s alright for the body but it’s nothing for the hair. Directly after the shower the hair looks like you had the shower two days ago. So it was time to buy a real shampoo.

When we got back to the campsite it started to rain a lot. We pitched the tent in the rain. It was nearly dark when it stopped to rain. We were heading back to the city to drink a beer in a pub after searching a while we found a nice one with some live music ??.
